About CASS

The Deakin University Centre for Advanced Sensory Science (CASS) in Melbourne is dedicated to helping the sustainable growth of the Australian food industry by being a provider of high quality sensory and flavour research, and training the next generation of sensory scientists.

The aims of CASS are to:

  • Conduct the highest quality sensory and flavour research;
  • Collaborate widely with the Australian food industry and Government;
  • Provide the highest quality training to develop the next generation of sensory scientists; and
  • Promote sensory and flavour science research within Australia and internationally.
